Representation

ECGA actively represents growers in meetings, workshops, public hearings, and other formal and informal platforms to advocate for fair policies, sustainable industry practices, and improved outcomes for growers. We represent growers across a wide range of platforms, including:

  • Eswatini Sugar Association Structures and Committees (Council, MEC etc)
  • Business Eswatini (BE) and related private sector platforms, contributing to dialogue on business, investment, and economic policy.
  • International and Regional Organisations, including bodies such as International Sugar Organization (ISO), World Association of Beet and Cane Growers (WABCG), and other industry-related associations, to ensure Eswatini growers are represented in regional and global discussions.
  • Government Boards and Committees, including LAB, Wages Councils, and other statutory bodies where grower interests intersect with labour, regulation, and policy.
  • Public Consultative Forums and Hearings, where ECGA presents submissions and positions on issues affecting the sugarcane industry.
  • Industry Stakeholders, to promote collaboration, dialogue, and a sustainable sugar value chain.
